Its really to be expected for a Survival/RPG hybrid. Sure, most of your time will be spent breaking and storing stuff so you can level up, unlock recipes, strengthen your gear, and take on tougher challenges. This game was so much fun but defending the pod against the horde is ridiculous. 60 hours of fun and then I had to repair the pod and completely lost interest in finishing the game.
